Performance Analysis of Multiple Access 60 GHz System Using Frequency-shifted Gaussian Pulse and Non-carrier PSWF Pulse

چکیده
In this paper, a kind of impulse radio (IR) 60 GHz pulse based on Prolate Spheroidal Wave Functions (PSWF) is proposed. The capacity and performance for multiple access 60 GHz communication system based on carrier pulse and impulse radio pulse are analyzed separately. Both frequency-shifted Gaussian pulse and Prolate Spheroidal Wave Functions (PSWF) pulse are considered and devised according to the federal communication commission (FCC) power constraints. Pulse position modulation (PPM) with time hopping spread spectrum (THSS) is employed in the multiple access 60GHz communication system. The channel capacity and error probability for 60GHz communication system with different pulse waveforms over additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel are compared and analyzed. The simulation results showed that the PSWF pulse 60GHz system with has better channel capacity and error probability performance than frequency-shifted Gaussian pulse 60GHz system.

Performance Analysis of Multiband Impulse Radio UWB Communication System Based on PSWF
To improve the data transmission rate and use spectrum flexibly, a new spectrum allocation method for Multiband Impulse Radio UWB (MB-IR-UWB) is proposed in this paper based on the band-limited and orthogonal characteristics of Prolate Spheroidal Wave Function (PSWF). The system model is built and the bit error rate (BER) formula is deprived by binary time hopping pulse position modulation unde...
متن کاملOn the Performance of Ultra Wideband Radio in Stochastic Tapped Delay Line Model of the Ultra Wideband Channel
This paper demonstrates the performance of Ultra Wideband (UWB) systems in the Stochastic Tapped Delay Line (STDL) model of the UWB channel with RAKE receiver. System models are based on Direct Sequence Code Division Multiple Access (DS-CDMA) principle. The system has been studied in presence of multiple user interference and Gaussian noise. During the analysis, various types of narrow, sub-nan...
متن کاملGeneration of a 160-GHz transform-limited pedestal-free pulse train through multiwave mixing compression of a dual-frequency beat signal.
We report the experimental generation of a 160-GHz picosecond pulse train at 1550 nm, using multiple four-wave mixing temporal compression of an initial dual-frequency beat signal in the anomalous-dispersion regime of a nonzero dispersion-shifted fiber. Complete intensity and phase characterizations of the pulse train were carried out by means of a frequency-resolved optical gating technique, s...
متن کاملDesign and Performance Analysis of 7-Level Diode Clamped Multilevel Inverter Using Modified Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation Techniques
In this paper, a 7-level Diode Clamped Multilevel Inverter (DCMLI) is simulated with three different carrier PWM techniques. Here, Carrier based Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM), Third Harmonic Injected Pulse Width Modulation (THIPWM) and Modified Carrier-Based Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) are used as modulation strategies. These modulation strategies include Phase Dispos...
متن کاملFDTD Analysis of Top-Hat Monopole Antennas Loaded with Radially Layered Dielectric
Top-hat monopole antennas loaded with radially layered dielectric are analyzed using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. Unlike the mode-matching method (MMM) (which was previously used for analyzing these antennas) the FDTD method enables us to study such structures accurately and easily. Using this method, results can be obtained in a wide frequency band by performing only one ti...
